Lectrus Corporation is seeking an Enclosure Builder for our Houston, TX facility. The Enclosure Builder assembles metal walls, doors and other components of equipment enclosure buildings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Following customer specifications and engineering drawings, gather required materials needed for assembly.
- Ensure building base is level before beginning assembly of enclosure.
- Install floor channel, cover plates and other parts needed on base.
- Erect and assemble metal enclosure walls, door frames, and roof.
- Lay out, cut and assemble corners.
- Install other enclosure components, which may include insulation, Z-bar, doors, hinges, brackets.
- Frame cut outs and ceiling angles, grinding, welding and caulking where needed.
- Set up equipment and weld parts together using various welding and grinding tools and equipment.
- Assemble and fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners using hand tools and portable power tools.
- Work with engineering staff to clarify information and obtain design changes as needed.
- Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
- Keep materials and work area clean, organized and free from clutter, or any potential safety hazards.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are organized, used and stored properly.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
Candidates must have:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
